In the early years of my life, I remember my father teaching me how to cook down home barbeque. At the age of 12, people would come from all over just to eat my food. I often wondered why, why did they come from so far away?
I later discovered it was the Smokey wood taste, good herbs & spices and the “goodie juice” (that’s what my father called it). It wasn’t until I grew up that I discovered there was no barbeque out like my fathers. I decided right off that there was only one way for me to do barbeque, and that was to take up where my father left off. But my dream was to share the fine foods I would create with the world.
Along my journey, I created a great health conscious food item that went well with barbeque, and was very tasty;

I use Fresh Veggies, my special blend of herbs and seasonings, with your choice of meat (chicken, beef, pepperoni, shrimp, or spinach cheddar cheese) rolled in fresh flour skin, then deep fried in pure peanut oil and served with a smile. It’s a great tasting and filling food, with a combination of REAL down home barbequed meats, including Chicken, Ribs, Rib Briskets, Cornish Hens, and Louisiana Red Hot Sausages. My first public appearance with Sheena’s Soul Rolls was at a Business Expo at Cleary College in Ann Arbor, Michigan in 1981. Since that time I have sold them in the community, which made them an instant family favorite, with my family, as well as with my loyal customers, and catered public and private events. In 2004, Sheena Barnes BBQ Bones was featured on Fox 2 News by Melody Brooks. People have come from ALL over to enjoy my health conscious and great tasting delicacies.
